Pass It On

Pass It On is the recovery ministry of The Neighborhood, the outreach family of the Church of Genesis. Alongside The Neighborhood Pantry and The Neighborhood Link, Pass It On exists to walk with people whose lives have been touched by addiction — those still in the grip of it, those building a new life in recovery, and the families who love them.

We are a community of broken people finding wholeness in Jesus, and we mean that plainly. Many of us have lived the very things we now help others walk through. Recovery isn’t a program we run so much as a life we share. What we have received, we pass on — one person, one week, one honest conversation at a time.

“God comforts us in our troubles, so that we can comfort others.” – 2 Corinthians 1:3–4

Addiction is not a moral failure or a lack of willpower – it is a disease of the brain and body that also wounds the spirit and isolates people from the ones they love. We believe healing happens in the opposite direction of addiction: in connection, honesty, community, and grace.

Recovery is possible for everyone, by more than one pathway. We honor the 12-step tradition, medical and clinical treatment, peer support, and the transforming work of God – and we’ve found they work best together, not in competition. Our job is to meet people exactly where they are, without judgment, and help them take the next right step.

• Anyone struggling with drugs, alcohol, or other addictions and looking for a place to start
• People in recovery who want fellowship, accountability, and a faith community that gets it
• Family members and loved ones affected by someone else’s addiction
• Anyone who simply needs a fresh start and a safe place to belong

Pass It On is for peer recovery support. Our team includes people in recovery and a Certified Recovery Specialist who walk alongside you – not above you.

Pass It On is fo warm connections. We help connect people to detox, treatment, counseling, and community resources, and we stay with them through the handoff so no one falls through the cracks.

Pass It On is for weekly fellowship. The weekly meetings offers consistent community, encouragement, and a rhythm of recovery and faith.

Pass It On is a place to belong. Recovery lasts when people are known and needed. Pass It On is a doorway into the larger family of the Church of Genesis.
