“The Neighborhood Link” is a thrift store that is part of the Church Of Genesis and has been in operation for two full years. During that time, it has been very successful. It has many repeat customers and is a great help to families in need. The outreach organization takes donations, as well as sells items such as good quality clothing, linens, shoes, books, small appliances, housewares, dinnerware, decor, office supplies, purses and crystal.

Profits from The Neighborhood Link go toward the cost of operating The Neighborhood Food Pantry. Food is purchased and redistributed to the Pantry clients on a weekly basis.

Location: 112 N. Liberty Street, New Castle, PA 16102 (inside the former Hyde Drug Store).

Store Hours: Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays: 9:00 am – 3:00 pm.

Donations: Donation drop off is from 8:00 am – Noon on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

“The Neighborhood Pantry” was birthed as an outreach ministry of the Church of Genesis in order to assist individuals and families in their times of need. We believe that God calls His people to compassionately reach out with resources, which He has entrusted to us, so that we might show the love of God to those around us.

The Bible tells us to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all of your soul and with all of your mind”. This is the first and greatest commandment. The second is: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Matthew 22:37-40.

Tuesdays: 9:00 am – Noon. Call 724-417-8555 to place your order.

Tuesdays: 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. Square One cooking classes and pick up your order.

How The Program Works:

Individuals or families will receive credits to use in “The Neighborhood Pantry” per month according to family size. Because we do not believe that people should become dependent on “The Neighborhood Pantry”, and want to see their dignity and self-esteem increase, we operate on a decreasing point system.
