“The Neighborhood Link” is a thrift store that is part of the Church of Genesis and has been in operation for over five years.  The outreach organization takes donations, as well as sells items such as good quality clothing, linens, shoes, books, small appliances, housewares, dinnerware, decor, office supplies, purses, and crystal.

Profits from The Neighborhood Link go toward the cost of operating The Neighborhood Food Pantry.

Food is purchased and redistributed to the Pantry clients on a weekly basis.  Our focus is on a “hand me up” and not a “hand out”.  The dignity of all participants and the process of restoration is at our core.  Cooking classes are regularly offered to encourage ways to stretch the items in the Pantry further.  Fellowship of shoppers is important as we form our own Community of Ministry.  “… man does not live on bread alone but on every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord.” – Deuteronomy 8:3; Matthew 4:4; and Luke 4:4.

Through The Neighborhood Link and The Neighborhood Food Pantry, we provide practical assistance, fellowship, dignity, and hope to families throughout our community. What began as a Food Pantry has become a place where lives are encouraged, relationships are built, and needs are met.

Both of these Ministries have served local families regularly and in times of need.
